1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using SubjectMate, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

SubjectMate provides an AI-powered tutoring service aligned to Australian school curricula. The service is intended to support learning and should not be used to complete assessments dishonestly or as a substitute for attending school.

3. Accounts

Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. One subscription covers one child's account.

4. Free trial and subscription

• New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with 10 questions included
• After the trial, a subscription of $19 AUD per month is required to continue
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month
• You may cancel at any time from your account settings — no cancellation fee
• Refunds are available within 7 days of a charge if the service did not work as expected

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use SubjectMate to complete school assessments fraudulently
• Attempt to extract harmful, inappropriate, or misleading information from the AI
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the service

6. AI limitations

SubjectMate uses AI technology which may occasionally make mistakes. Always verify important information with a qualified teacher. SubjectMate is a learning support tool, not a replacement for professional teaching.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, SubjectMate's liability is limited to the amount paid in the month in which any issue arose.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
