The short version: By using SubjectMate you agree to these terms. Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time. SubjectMate is a learning support tool and should not be used to complete school assessments dishonestly.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using SubjectMate, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

SubjectMate provides an AI powered tutoring service aligned to Australian school curricula for students in Years 3 to 12. The service is intended to support learning and should not be used to complete assessments dishonestly or as a substitute for attending school.

3. Accounts

Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Subscription access is limited to the number of children covered by your chosen plan.

The Focused Support plan locks access to the subject and year level selected at signup. To switch subjects or year levels, an upgrade to the Complete Support plan is required.

SubjectMate uses AI technology which may occasionally make mistakes. Always verify important information with a qualified teacher. SubjectMate is a learning support tool and not a replacement for professional teaching.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, SubjectMate's liability is limited to the amount paid in the month in which any issue arose.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
