The short version: By using SubjectMate you agree to these terms. Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time. SubjectMate is a learning support tool and should not be used to complete school assessments dishonestly.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account and using SubjectMate, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
SubjectMate provides an AI powered tutoring service aligned to Australian school curricula for students in Years 3 to 12. The service is intended to support learning and should not be used to complete assessments dishonestly or as a substitute for attending school.
3. Accounts
Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Subscription access is limited to the number of children covered by your chosen plan.
4. Subscription
- Subscriptions begin immediately upon checkout.
- Current plans are:
- Focused Support — $39 AUD per month or $31 AUD per month billed annually
- Complete Support — $59 AUD per month or $47 AUD per month billed annually
- Family Support (2 children) — $89 AUD per month or $71 AUD per month billed annually
- Family Support (3 children) — $109 AUD per month or $87 AUD per month billed annually
- Family Support (4 children) — $129 AUD per month or $103 AUD per month billed annually
- All prices are in AUD and include GST
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period
- Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings. No cancellation fee applies.
5. Focused Support plan
The Focused Support plan locks access to the subject and year level selected at signup. To switch subjects or year levels, an upgrade to the Complete Support plan is required.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use SubjectMate to complete school assessments fraudulently
- Attempt to extract harmful, inappropriate, or misleading information from the AI
- Share your account credentials with others outside your subscription plan
- Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the service
7. AI limitations
SubjectMate uses AI technology which may occasionally make mistakes. Always verify important information with a qualified teacher. SubjectMate is a learning support tool and not a replacement for professional teaching.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, SubjectMate's liability is limited to the amount paid in the month in which any issue arose.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
